Summer Flowers

After several days of searing heat, the garden is looking a little tired. Only a week ago we had raging winds and rain that caused a lot of damage in the garden - see my earlier post - and the garden was looking clean and fresh, if a little windblown.

After a long wet Spring the shrubs and perennials flowered beautifully. The Hydrangeas had such huge blooms that the winds were too much for the bushes and they sagged under the weight.

This lot are all pale ones. Must take a few shots of some of the other colours and post them as well.

Here we go - I found some I shot before the storm last week.
